Our summer law interns meet for a staff breakfast.

Brooklyn A welcomes student associates for both summer and term-time internships that provide law students with hands-on experience in the practice of public interest law. You will work with Brooklyn A's experienced, committed legal staff to:

  • Draft papers;
  • Interview clients;
  • Participate in discovery (including depositions);
  • Gain courtroom experience; and
  • Conduct factual and legal research.

Student Associates are assigned to a Brooklyn A attorney working in one of our practice areas, which currently include:

  • Community and Economic Development
  • Comprehensive Rights of People Affected by HIV/AIDS
  • Disability Advocacy Project
  • Domestic Violence
  • Predatory Lending/Consumer Fraud
  • Preservation of Low-Income Housing
